The Cabot Trail Writers Festival is SO excited to help foster the next generation of writers on our island with our new youth mentorship program: Raise Our Voices (ROV)

We invite you to come support and celebrate the voices and tremendous talent of our island's newest, youngest writers at our first annual ROVing Writers Coffeehouse event!

This event will feature readings and conversation with our 2026 ROVing Writer mentor, Margaree author Oisín Curran, and mentee Liam Mailman, along with short readings from some of the other participating young writers from across Cape Breton.

Admission to the event is free (though we welcome donations towards future editions of our youth mentorship program), and drinks will be available for purchase from the wonderful Dancing Goat staff along with a selection of baked goods.

You are not required to register in advance but we recommend (and appreciate!) it ensure your seat (and help us plan), as space is very limited.

Our thanks to the Dancing Goat for hosting us, and to the wonderful young writers sharing their work with all of us. We hope you'll join us for this lovely and inspiring celebration of the newest bright, creative voices in our community!
